Hello, everyone!
I’ve recently been having trouble with getting into non-fiction books. The escape that fiction books provide me with has been wonderful but I find that I’ve been something a bit more “down to earth.” I have a lot of non-fiction books on my shelves that I’ve bought over the past months but have yet to crack open. Joining in the Start On Your Shelfathon and The Pondathon, both of which are hosted by The Quiet Pond, gives me the accountability I need to clear my TBR.

The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion
I recently purchased this book after the loss in my family. Immersing myself in my favourite reads just wasn’t doing it for me. I needed a voice I could connect to.
Feminists Don’ Wear Pink and Other Lies by Scarlett Curtis
I received Feminists Don’t Wear Pink through the Flapping Pages ARC Program managed by Kaleena from Reader Voracious.
Wild Embers by Nikita Gill
I’ve wanted to read Nikita Gill’s book since my poetry days. I love Gill’s writing and I’m hoping this anthology will hit me in the feels.

I’m doing Pondathon! Good luck with it. I’m on team Varian. I don’t have a TBR, though.

I haven’t really heard much about any of these books! I don’t tend to read that much non-fiction though so I guess that makes sense. I’m in school most of the year and I find that my textbooks become the only non-fiction I can read during the semester. Every once and a while I’ll pick up an interesting non-fiction on my breaks if I hear good things, so I’m happy that I now have a few more books to look into!
