I’m really excited to be taking part in this week’s Top Ten Tuesday’s prompt: Books You’d to Mash Together. But rather than talking about books in general, I’ve characters who I think would make great friends.
ON WATERS WITH ROSES AND SIN
Zivah and Kinneret. One’s a healer, and the other a salt witch. They leave behind the whispers and stares to embark on a sea adventure. Let the others have their lands and gold, girls like them were meant for the unending sea and sky.
A DARKER SHADE OF INK AND BONE
Lila Bard and Glain Wathen need to meet. Talk about pandemonium.
THE NIGHTINGALES
The quiet strength of Jane and Vasilisa makes me wish they could meet each other. Honestly, why should Jane marry Rochester when she can be happy trading stories and spending her days with Vasilisa?
THE FUNCTION OF LOVE, LIES, AND HOCUS POCUS
I think Lily would make a great role model for Zanna; also can you imagine how much Lily would freak out when finds out about The Scientists and all that knowledge!
THE DECEPTION OF CHARM AND SILVER
Dorian Gray is one of those characters who I wish could have a redemption arc. And if he did, I think, he’d need someone – a mentor – who would take none of his bullshit. I can just imagine Miryem stripping his pride bare.
TO KILL FOR LOLITA
Imagine Lira catching sight of Lolita and Humbert Humbert. Imagine her knowing the awful things Humbert did. Imagine Lira ripping the man until he was nothing but fish food. Imagine Lolita finally being free.

This was such a great idea, I love how you switched things a bit! Your combinations were super cool, I totally didn’t expect Lira and Lolita, but I can see that. I think Lira would destroy Humbert and it would be absolutely deserved.

I love your take on this topic. (Though I think it makes it even more difficult to do). I’ve yet to read Ink & Bone so can’t say how Lila would fare there, but Jane and Vasilisa- I think Vasilisa would be really annoyed at Jane, unless as you said she left to live happily ever after “trading stories and spending her days with Vasilisa” ❤

Ooh I agree that it would be interesting if Dorian had a chance at redemption! I feel like Romy from The Loneliest Girl in the Universe and Alice from Let’s Talk About Love might make good friends? Just something about them…it seems like they’d get along haha.
